I guess I just find it funny because Anna parades on the show to Lorelai about how careful and cautious she is about who her daughter gets to see, when she didn even realize that her kid had been actively trying to find her father, and did successfully find him, almost entirely without her knowledge.

Depending on your soft skills, management potential, etc, have you considered applying to jobs at companies which aren known for engineering but could still use smart driven people?
